Earlier this month a very sweet lady,  Jackie Estrada, lost a equally sweet creative partner and her husband Batton Lash.

I lost a new friend.  I hadn't known Jackie and Batton as long as others in the comic book field, but man did he leave big impact on me.

He was a talented cartoonist, always upbeat, always sharply dressed, with his suits and fedoras, and hugely popular with anyone that came into the presence of him and Jackie.
And after a talk with both of them, you left feeling like you mattered.

I am grateful I got to know them as a team, tableing beside their Exhibit A Press, during those store signing events, meant a lot to me.

And I am thankful to Chad Cavanaugh of Grunt 1B Comics , for putting together those artist events outside of SoCal Comics.

It's also thanks to Batton ,that I got to befriend one of my favorite comicbook writers , James Hudnall and I am now working on a book with him!
