90's tough:Law Dog

Nobody does tough in comics like Chuck Dixon!    It was with this thought in mind that I began scanning the back issue bins for old Dixon comics having finished reading the latest Winter World.

I came across a single copy of Law Dog#1 and felt the nostalgia for those old embossed covers and flipped inside to see Chuck's name inside!

If ever there were a Seal of Manliness in the world of comic books with, spandex and speedlines , Chuck Dixon's name would be that seal.

So I make my purchases and head back home.

From the first to the last page, I am hooked!  Of course I gotta' find more so I hop in my car and head to the next comic shop to find the other 9 issues of the series and do a little marathon reading.

As each issue progresses we get a little time capsule look into what it must have been like for the creators Chuck Dixon and Flint Henry as they worked on the series and even an awesome, surprise art appearance by Marc Hansen, creator of Ralph Snart!

By the time I finished my 10 issue read I was kicking myself for missing out on the series original release.

And I was wondering if all these years later, whatever became of the amazing artist, Flint Henry?!!! And could, Chuck Dixon be talked into a spinoff following, Lina?!!!

So here is a little sketchbook fan art that I colored up for your enjoyment.
